Holiday Ham

Ham during the Holidays is Wonderful. Tasty. Tradition. For Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter or Any Holiday. This Ham will be enjoyed by all!

I have been in a bit of the holiday rush. I haven't been stressed...impressive. But still want to MAKE things (or at least try to make) gifts before Christmas comes. So that is my excuse for not blogging as much as I would like.

I have so many Thanksgiving recipes that I need to blog about. So much food. Recipes. Yum.

But enjoy this Ham. I have gotten several requests for this recipe. I hope you enjoy it and hope your Holidays are Merry, Warm and Bright

Ingredients

Butt Portion Ham on bone about 15 lbs or more
½ cup brown sugar
1 can crushed pineapple
10 whole cloves
3 Tb spicy mustard (or any mustard will work)
1 orange sliced in circles and zest from orange
Remove majority of fat. Slice ham with crosshatches. Place in crockpot. Stick cloves in skin of ham and spread rest of ingredients over ham. Cook on high for 5-6 hours or overnight on low. Ham will fall apart and brown perfectly if cooked long enough. How easy is that?! Throw everything in the crockpot and let the crockpot do ALL the work!

*Note: if you remove the lid from your crockpot, it takes 30 minutes for the heat to return to the original heat. So, please do not remove lid unless all the juice has evaporated (which is unlikely). When carving, the ham should fall apart. So all you need to do is put a fork in it and tear it apart.

Enjoy! Use leftover in omelets, fried rice, sandwiches, soup etc.
