4 Cheese White Pizza

Don't like Red Sauce? Or want something Different? Here is your answer...

Life is busy. You know the dots on your calendars' on Ipod's, phones etc. Well, I have a dot every day. For the exception of Sunday, although I am busy on that day too.

I am not complaining. I enjoy doing what I do. But something gets neglected. And lately, it is my blog. Sorry.

I have to say, every time I do blog, I love it. And I won't stop, even though I am delayed.

But on to food...

Italian Stromboli

A family favorite. Well, a favorite for most people I am sure. If not, it soon might be.

Surprisingly, this does not take a lot of effort and goes quickly. You can make any type of Stromboli you like. Add veggies, different meats, different cheeses, but save the sauce for later...after it is cooked. Typically, Stromboli is meant to be rolled and the sauce is not added inside. After is is cooked, you dip or spread warm sauce on top of the Stromboli. The reason for this is if you did add sauce to the inside, it might turn out too doughy and soft. On the other hand, if you made calzones, you can add some sauce inside because the dough is not rolled.

I have learned something about myself lately. I am not one to have an empty plate. Meaning...the food I eat~I EAT and I need to always be doing projects. I just painted a few walls in my house yesterday and have big plans to do some decorating. I am going to paint my kitchen cabinets black and do some other projects. See? Empty plate: I think not.

I tried to blog about Lasagna a few days ago and our computer is having issues. Come ON!!! What the crazy? I do not like a slow computer. Grrrrumble!

Ok. So, stromboli...what will you put in your stromboli?

Italian Garlic Salad

This salad is a HIT. A must try. It even tastes good as leftovers!

I taught a bunch of Young Women how to make this salad. They all LOVED it. I had a few phone calls the next day getting the recipe. We also made Breadsticks and Baked Ziti.

I adapted this recipe from a friend. Sometimes the best recipes are from the favorites of others kitchens.

You don't have to go to a restaurant to have gourmet food. In fact, fresh good quality food is usually best made by you! And less expensive too. Now, don't get me wrong, I like to eat out. But I think I like to cook and bake more in my own kitchen. So I save the eating out for date night and special occasions.

Entertain. Have your friends over. What salad are you going to serve this time? Italian Garlic Salad. The garlic gives it a bit of spice...very nice! Like doing 2 things at once.

Multi-Task. Make dinner while you create your own radio station. Have you heard about Pandora Radio? Well, thanks to my bro-in law who told my husband. I now know about Pandora. Let me tell you, it is nice...just like spice! It is a little something for your ears, and the salad is a little something for your mouth.

3 Cheese Tomato-Spinach Calzones with Pesto

Now, what is a Calzone? What is the difference between Calzones and Stromboli? Well, I will tell you....

Stromboli is rolled. Almost like Cinnamon Rolls, but pizza like. Stromboli does not typically have sauce inside the dough...you dip it in sauce. Now, Calzones are not rolled, but folded and they might have sauce inside. Calzones are individually proportioned and Stromboli you slice like cinnamon rolls. Does that help?

I love the pizza family. Italian food is amazing. Loved by so many. A favorite of so many. Growing up Lasagna was my favorite food.

I love to get creative with pizza's and calzones. Yes. What is not to love?

You could have a family night and "make your own Calzone night" Make the dough and have several toppings for your family to put inside their calzone. Make it fun and enjoyable to eat. Or not. Your choice.

Pizza Dough

This recipe for Pizza Dough...I use a lot!

I mean, A LOT....for stromboli, calzones, pizza, pretzels, sticky buns etc. etc.

It is fast. It is easy. Everything I have on hand. It is homemade. It is kid friendly. It is delicious. It is versatile. It can be grilled...oh yah, it is good on the grill!

So, having established the fact that I use this recipe a lot, I am sure I will refer to it in the future.

Italian Bread

Homemade Bread makes everything taste better. Maybe because YOU made it. Maybe because it is Fresh. Or maybe because in the cooking process, it turns to gold...so when you eat it, you feel RICH!

This recipe is not hard. Believe that it will rock. However, not be a rock.

This Italian Bread or French Bread I use for many things. Sandwiches. Side with Pasta etc. Bruschetta.

So lets get our hands messy...
