Homemade Snickers Bars

It doesn't get much better than this...

Happy Father's Day! If you are like my husband, who loves Snickers, you will love this recipe!

My favorite part in this is the Marshmallow/Peanut layer. I could just eat that by itself.

It makes me hungry to look at these pictures. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but these I can't resist. So, on to the recipe...

There are 4 Parts to this recipe:

*Make in 9x13 inch pan

1. Brownie Layer

2. Peanut/Mallow Layer

3. Caramel Layer

4. Peanut Butter/Chocolate Layer

Brownie Layer:

Homemade Brownies. Make according to directions and let cool for 5 minutes before adding next layer.

Peanut/Mallow Layer:

1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup evaporated milk
2 (7 oz.) jars marshmallow creme, you will use 1 jar+1/2 jar
1/4 cup natural peanut butter, crunchy or creamy
1 1/2 cups salted peanuts, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar and milk, stirring until dissolved. Bring to a boil. Add in the marshmallow creme (use 1 whole jar and about half of another), peanut butter, and vanilla stirring until smooth. Turn off heat and fold in peanuts. Pour evenly over cooled brownies and spread. Let cool (you can place in refrigerator for a few minutes).

Caramel Layer:

Homemade Caramel. Let cool for about 5 minutes before spreading over Mallow Layer. While the previous layer is cooling, I make the next layer, so it is ready to spread once cooled. *Just make sure to give yourself enough time to make and cool in the refrigerator after completed.

Chocolate/Peanut Butter Layer:

This is easy, just add 1/2 cup Natural Creamy Peanut Butter and 1 Cup Chocolate Chips in microwave proof bowl. Melt 30 seconds at a time, (stirring after each) until completely melted. Spread evenly over cooled Caramel Layer. Once completed, store in the refrigerator until set about 1-2 hours or so. Serve and Enjoy! Store in the refrigerator, covered (otherwise it will be soft, which still tastes good, but messy).
