Tomato Basil Bruschetta

Tomato. Fresh Basil. Balsamic Vinegar. Such a great combo!

NOW (late summer) is the best time to make this appetizer/side dish. Everything in season. Fresh tomatoes. Yummmm Fresh Tomatoes. They are sweet when fully ripe.

This is not difficult at ALL to make. In fact, your friends will rave at the taste. BUT...the fresher the ingredients, the BETTER it will taste.
Ingredients:

4 large tomatoes, sliced or chopped
10+ large basil leaves, sliced
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
French bread or your choice of bread. I like a crusty Artisan Bread.

Easy...combine all ingredients in bowl. Mix. Refrigerate till ready to eat. *If you give it 2 hours to marinate, the flavors combine and taste Divine! *You could even add fresh sliced mozzarella cheese. Serve on lightly warmed and toasted bread.

Slice bread. Brush with olive oil and cook in 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes. serve warm with bruschetta. Take a spoon and drizzle the vinegar/oil juice over the bread with the tomatoes. Enjoy! Let your taste buds dance!
