Sugar Cookies

Great for Holidays...Or Anytime.

So, the month of October is insanity for me. Great. But Busy. No, seriously B.U.S.Y. Anyone who knows me knows why. It is the month of Anniversaries, Birthdays and Holidays. Fun time of year, but that is why I have not blogged. Oh how I have wanted to blog. But along with my housework...blogging has been pushed back.

I have learned a few things though. Why. Why do I do so much for my kids? Well, I thought about it and this is what I learned...#1. I love them. And #2. I want to spend as much time with them, (while I have them young) as I possibly can. It is true...they grow in the blink of an eye.

So, moral of the story...I have been building memories, enjoying this time of year, loving my kids and letting my house and blog go for a little while. Not all together. NO. What would the world be if ALL my dishes in my sink were dirty? ICK.

Lets talk recipe. What makes our dishes dirty...Sugar Cookies! With a Vanilla Sugar Glaze!

Strawberry Grape Blue Cheese Salad

What a name. What a taste. For me this salad is like candy. So good, you don't even need dressing.

Frustrated. Beyond. Construction. Grrrrr. Had to complain. I understand why they need to fix the roads...but this is the 3rd year in  a row they have fixed this particular one. Grrrr. And construction is EVERYWHERE! You can't take another road, because construction is happening there TOO. Ok, I am done.

Blogging. Been busy.

This salad I love. Let me tell you why. Blue Cheese. Yes. Caramelized Nuts. Yes. Fruit. Yes. All in a salad. Yes, yes yes! Love it all. And if you don't like blue cheese, use Feta or Mozzarella instead.

Half Hassleback Potatoes

Oh these are good. Really good.

Oh potato lovers...have you had a half hassleback potato lately? With a spicy herb sour cream? Too good.

As I listen to Micheal Jackson on the radio...he says it all "WOO"! Exactly.

I love how "Po-ta-to" can be molded, shaped, cut, formed, fried, baked, boiled into SO many different options. Gotta love it!

Whole Wheat Bread

As the weather is turning cool...it is a great time to make some bread.

This bread is my staple. I try to make it as often as possible, instead of buying bread at the store. I use it for everything. It is easy to make. It only rises once in the pan. It makes 4 loafs. Good nutrition, 10 cups wheat flour to 1 cup white flour. Love it and my family loves it too.

Air pockets...make for light fluffy bread.
We eat one loaf as soon as it comes out of the oven. It is easy. Warm bread. Honey butter. What a great combo...it is gobbled up in seconds!

This bread is not difficult to make. You should give it a try!

M-n-M Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nothing like a warm cookie right out of the oven.

Hits the spot. For these cookies, there was a request to add M-n-M's. M-n-M's are a great candy! Mmmmm Mmmmm!

It has been awhile since I have blogged. This is my busy time of year. More than any other. Anniversaries, Birthday's, Holiday's. But the baking is a MUST! Soups are a must! And Pies during Thanksgiving are a must! At least 8 different pies!

But on to cookies....and don't forget your milk!
