The perfect comfort food.
I haven't made chicken and dumplings in a long time. And I am sorry I haven't. WOW what a big hit! I made it for my family and they gobbled it down! Wanting more and more. Then I made it for a party later that week and it seemed to be a hit...well, at least my crockpot was empty at the end of the party. So that is a good sign.
My mom used to make chicken and dumplings all the time growing up. It was one of my favorite dishes. I wanted to make it into a soup...and so I did. My secret ingredient~Pesto. Turns out perfect!
So curl up and serve some chicken and dumpling soup. You won't regret it!

Happy Holidays to everyone! Busy this time of year...that is why this wassail rocks! It is so easy to make and you put it in a crock pot and leave it be...then WA LA- Finished!!! It makes the house smell so nice. Cloves, Cinnamon, Oranges!
This wassail is a family tradition of mine. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, my mom would make this wassail. When I was young, I had to put ice cubes in it because it would be too hot for me to drink. :)
This recipe only has 4 ingredients in it. Yes ONLY 4!!! How great is that?!

I have been in a bit of the holiday rush. I haven't been stressed...impressive. But still want to MAKE things (or at least try to make) gifts before Christmas comes. So that is my excuse for not blogging as much as I would like.
I have so many Thanksgiving recipes that I need to blog about. So much food. Recipes. Yum.

Wow. It is sad really...only 4 posts in November. But I have to tell myself, family comes first. It was a nice holiday and now I am ready for some more!
As the weather gets colder, it is so nice to make soup and eat it too! Soup makes your house smell fantastic! It is all in one pot. And it goes a long way!
Serve this with some breadsticks, green salad and you are good to go!
